DESCRIPTION:Juno-nominated Cris Derksen\, is an internationally respected Indigenous cellist and composer. Derksen braids the traditional and contemporary\, weaving her classical background and her Indigenous ancestry together with new school electronics to create genre-defying music. \nCris will be joined by Chippewa Travellers and members of the Niagara Symphony Orchestra for this special FREE performance as part of Celebration of Nations. \nThe concert takes place both in The Backyard of FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre and will also be livestreamed across the globe.
