The NSO 26/27 season concludes with a spectacular journey through sweeping landscapes, elemental power, and breathtaking orchestral colour.
The concert begins with Canadian composer Keiko Devaux’s Listening Underwater, an evocative contemporary work filled with shimmering textures and sonic mystery, drawing listeners into a mesmerizing aquatic world.
Then, internationally acclaimed violinist Timothy Chooi takes centre stage for Sibelius’ electrifying Violin Concerto—a masterpiece of icy brilliance, fiery virtuosity, and soaring lyricism.
The adventure continues with Britten’s dramatic Four Sea Interludes, a vivid orchestral portrait of the sea in all its beauty and fury. From crashing storms to haunting stillness, Britten’s music immerses audiences in a world both majestic and dangerous.
