NSO String Quartet
strings through the ages
The NSO’s principal string players have joined forces to bring orchestral music to seniors in our community!
With assistance from the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors program, the NSO has created an engaging program of string quartet music that brings listeners on an adventure exploring music throughout the ages – from the Renaissance to the 20th century and beyond. This hour-long program designed for third-age listeners includes instrument demonstrations, performances of a range of repertoire, and an opportunity for questions and discussion with the musicians of the quartet.
With Strings Through the Ages the NSO String Quartet brings a history of music to life.
The NSO String Quartet will be offering public performances of Strings Through the Ages at public libraries and spaces throughout the Niagara Region, including concerts in St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Port Colborne, Niagara on the Lake, and Welland. The quartet is also available to perform in Senior’s residences and palliative care facilities throughout Niagara.
